Mock Disaster Caps Med Camp

A mock emergency for Chatham-Kent area students interested in the medical field.

Chatham-Kent fire and EMS officials assisted students during this mornings mock disaster at Percy Park. 15-year-old Emily McEachran from UCC calls the camp and mock disaster a real eye opener.

"Because we don't really see this side of the things that happen, you just hear stories," says McEachran. "So it was different to be a part of it rather than hearing about it." The 16 area high school students wrap-up their week long MedLINCS camp, which also included in class instruction and job placements, today.

The camp is run in conjunction with the University of Western Schulich School of Medicine.
