Spits Add Letowski To Bench

Trevor Letowski is joining the Windsor Spitfires as an associate coach.

The long-time NHL center and five-year coach of the Sarnia Sting (last two years as head coach) will join new Spits Head Coach Rocky Thompson and assistant coach Jerrod Smith behind the bench.

Windsor General Manager Warren Rychel says, "I saw first hand, what he did with a young Sarnia team last year. After sitting with him, we were really impressed. He's young. He's got some great ideas."

Letowski, 38, says he's looking forward to joining the team and working alongside Thompson. "His passion is obvious. Right away, I thought we had real good chemistry. A lot of the same philosophies."

The Spitfires kick off training camp next month.
