Wind Development Sold

The Raleigh Wind Energy project is changing hands.

Invenergy has announced it is selling a part of five U.S. wind turbine projects to TerraForm Power and SunEdision and all of the Raleigh project in Chatham-Kent.

Invenergy Director of Communications Alissa Krinksy said in a release the deal will close later this year, and all employees will be retained.

The company says the sale will position it for long term growth.

The entire deal is worth $2-billion but there is no break-down as to the value of the local facility.
