An expansion at Mucci Farms is expected to create a lot of new jobs in the Ruthven area.
Mayor Nelson Santos says Kingsville council gave the 27-acre expansion the go ahead this week. "120 jobs are sited in this expansion, not including migrant workers. I think this expansion will bring a lot of new jobs that will be enticing to Kingsville residents."
The new development is next to a drain that is currently the focus of an engineers report into erosion concerns.
However, Santos says storm water will be dealt with on site, so there shouldn't be any additional water run-off into the drain.
