Chatham-Kent OPP (Photo by Matt Weverink)A 27-year-old Ridgetown man is in critical condition in hospital after a serious crash on eastbound Hwy. 401 near Bloomfield Rd.
The OPP says on Wednesday around 5pm, the man was driving a Ford Taurus that rear-ended a tractor trailer, which was stopped on the highway because of traffic congestion.
The man in the Taurus was airlifted to hospital after the crash while the driver of the transport truck wasn't hurt.
The investigation is ongoing and police are asking for witnesses to come forward.
