Canada Day Closures

All municipal offices, as well as branches of the Chatham-Kent Public Library are closed.

CK Transit also won't be running throughout the day. Garbage Collection has been pushed back one day for those who use Progressive Waste Collection, while the Chatham, Wallaceburg, and Harwich Township Transfer Stations are all closed.

Outdoor pools around the municipality are open 1:30pm-4pm for a free open swim. Both Wallaceburg Sydenham Pool and the Blenheim Gable Rees Rotary Pool are open 12pm-4pm with an adult swim first, followed by an open swim at 1:30pm. However, all arenas in Chatham-Kent are not open.

CKHA programming is also being affected by the holiday. Routine X-rays, EKG's and ultrasounds will not take place. The Oncology / Chemotherapy department will be closed, as well as the Elston Pharmacy.

Other programs at the CKHA that will not operate July 1 include Ambulatory Care Services, Out-Patient Rehab Services, the Chatham-Kent Mental Health and Addictions Program, and the Diabetes Education Centre.
