Police Search Turns Up Meth

A 34-year-old man is facing drug trafficking and weapons-related charges after police executed a search warrant at a Wallaceburg residence.

Police say the man is under a life-time weapons ban, but officers found a Mossberg .22 caliber rifle and some ammunition while they were searching his residence on Dufferin Ave. yesterday afternoon.

Officers also found some methamphetamine and a large amount of cash.

The Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority is reporting some flooding in downtown Chatham and more could be on the way.
