UPDATE: Warehouse Fire Near Charing Cross

Crews were able to quickly get a fire on Charing Cross Rd. under control this morning.

The fire affected a machine shop between Middle and 11th lines and started around 7:30am. Officials say the blaze was under control in about 35 minutes.

They add flames were contained inside the structure, with damages estimated at $100,000. No was was inside the building when it caught fire. The blaze is under investigation, but is not being treated as suspicious.

Charing Cross Rd. has reopened between Middle and 11th lines after crews checked for hot spots in the structure.
