Hurricanes Shutout Cougars

The Chatham-Kent Cougars Varsity football squad fell 37-0 to the Hamilton Hurricanes on Saturday.

The two teams battled it out at the Chatham-Kent Community Athletic Complex, with strong wind and rain hammering down during the entire second half where only seven of the 37 points were scored.

Cougars running back Tanner Schuinn says it was a tough loss.

"Everything but the second quarter was good," he says. "We gave up nine in the first quarter, a touchdown in the fourth, nothing in the third, (but the Hurricanes scored) about 20 in the second."

This was the second straight shutout game for the Cougars to make them 0-2 in the season, while Hamilton improves to 2-0.
