Environment Canada has ended a tornado watch for Chatham-Kent and Windsor-Essex.
Earlier this evening a severe thunderstorm warning also ended for both areas.
Meteorologists said the main threat was wind gusts up to 100 km/h and the possibility of large hail. Windsor Airport reported 91 km/h wind gusts.
