Funding Supports Restorative Justice Programs

At-risk youth in Chatham-Kent are set to benefit from the latest round of Ontario Trillium Foundation grants.

Executive Director at Restorative Justice Chatham-Kent Cecily Coppola says the non-profit organization is receiving $52,000 to hire a full-time program co-ordinator and upgrade their programs.

"We're trying to make sure everything is current, it's just a matter of picking and choosing what we want," says Coppola. "The other piece of the funding we received will help promote that and get the news of these new programs out into the community and hopefully increase referrals for them."

Coppola says some of the programs they offer focus on topics like self-esteem, anger management, bullying, and healthy relationships.
