Failing To Stop Costly

Two people are facing a handful of drug-related charges after disobeying a stop sign.

An officer witnessed the driver failing to stop on Baldoon Rd. near Partridge Cres. around 8:30pm. When the officer activated his emergency lights, he observed a clear plastic bag being thrown out the driver's window. Police say the bag contained suspected marijuana.

The man driving the car, a 25-year-old from Kingsville, had bail conditions not to possess drugs or drug paraphernalia. While the passenger, a 22-year-old Blenheim woman, was charged with drug possession.

Both were released with future court dates.
