Lakeshore Council is looking for answers from Hydro One after 24 power outages in Lighthouse Cove since 2013.
Councillor Linda McKinlay says residents want Hydro One to do a better job of taking care of its equipment.
"We are being told that they need to take a better look at their equipment, flat out; that these are the problems with the outages," says McKinlay. "The residents feel if [Hydro One] would pay attention to their housekeeping, they wouldn't be forced to have these outages."
Council passed a motion at its meeting Tuesday night asking for a report from Hydro One, which McKinlay expects back in about a month.
