Council To Approve Partnership Fund

Chatham-Kent Council is expected to approve this year's recipients of the Community Partnership Fund.

Administration has selected 18 projects and 9 events seeking a grand total of $173,476. There were 39 applications received in total.

Last year, 31 applicants received a total of $141,266.57, about $30K less than this year. The maximum amount of funding a single group can ask for is $10,000; and $5,000 maximum for a festival or event.

Among the groups selected for funding is the Wallaceburg Lakers, The Dresden Agricultural Society and the Chatham Minor Baseball Association.

Council will make its decision at tonight's meeting at 6pm.
