Realtors Say Strong 2014 Sales

The outgoing president of the Chatham-Kent Association of Realtors hopes the trend in the housing market is positive.

Ron Smith says 2014 continued a trend to higher sales.

"I don't have all the stats in front of me but we are up considerably over the last three years, we are up," he says. "We had a lot of ups and downs compared to previous years, I think the weather had a lot to do with it, we had a very snowy winter last year and it had a very slow start with our market."

He says there could be an improvement in the economy and it may be some people are trying to buy before a possible interest rate rise.
