Kings Flourish Under New Coach

A coaching change mid-season hasn't hurt the Dresden Jr. Kings.

Don Johnston resigned last week and since then Dresden has gone 2-0.

Kings GM Jason Badder says the coaching staff has maintained the same philosophy.

"So Rob Vanderydt, who is assistant coach, has now taken over as head coach," says Badder. "Our assistants, Bill Nicholson, Burke Daugherty and Ryan Paxton are all the same, and Brent Paxton is still remaining, so we've kept things in house."

The Jr. Kings visit the red hot Essex 73's tonight, with puck drop set for 7pm.

Dresden is 13-12-2-0 on the season while Essex is a stellar 22-2-1-1.
