Nurses Help Hospice

The nurses of Chatham-Kent have banded together to make a big donation for the Chatham-Kent Hospice.

Through the raffling off of trips to Florida and Leafs-Red Wings tickets, current and retired nurses have raised $51,371.

Hospice Director of Development Jodi Maroney says getting external groups to help with raising funds is huge. "We don't have the staff at this point...to be able to reach as many people in the community as we like to," says Maroney. "By people coming together and putting their effort in...has been instrumental in our campaign."

Maroney adds this latest initiative was spearheaded by retired Chatham-Kent nurse Bonnie Sunnen.
