The Chatham Maroons suffered a close 3-2 loss to the St. Thomas Stars in GOJHL action on Sunday.
The Stars took a 2-1 lead at the end of the first period and extended that to 3-1 at the beginning of the second. The Maroons were able to score another goal before the third period, but despite 11 shots in the final 20 minutes, they weren't able to tie the game and force OT.
Levi Tetrault and Nate Pietens scored the two goals for Chatham.
The Maroons take on the Sarnia Legionnaires on Thursday at 7:10pm.
