Sex Related Charges Laid

A Chatham man is facing a charge of sexual exploitation of a person with a disability.

Police released the picture of a suspect earlier this week in hopes of identifying him after a woman said she had been assaulted in her apartment on November 19. The man gained entry to her building after having previous conversations with her on the telephone.

Julian Mills, 39, has also been charged with sexual assault and fraudulent personation to gain advantage for himself. Mills is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.

To protect the integrity of the investigation and court proceedings, a publication ban has been put in place.
