A Canadian truck driver from southwestern Ontario describes his 16-hour ordeal trapped in snow-covered Buffalo.
The New York state city has already seen two metres of snow hit the area, and could see another metre by the end of Thursday.
Graeme Maus owns and operates R W Maus Transportation, and was snowed-in in his truck from 7:30am Tuesday until 1am Wednesday. "I could move, but there was just nowhere to go," explains Maus. "The road ahead of us was blocked, the road behind us was blocked. So it was just a waiting game until they could clear it out."
Maus adds he considered napping, but was afraid he would miss an update from crews on the condition of the roads. Instead he kept in touch with family and coworkers on his phone until he was able to escape.
