The pair accused of locking their 10-year-old nephew in a filthy bedroom for up to two years will appear in court again next month.
A lawyer made a brief court appearance on their behalf today to have the case put over until December 11. It is expected a trial date will be set then.
The two face charges of forcible confinement and failing to provide the necessaries of life.
A 10-year-old boy was rescued from the pair's Asima Dr. home in May after a neighbour saw the unknown child peeking out a window.
Police say the boy had been locked inside a squalid bedroom for up to two years and was fed fast food twice a day. He was found with shoulder length hair and was wearing urine soaked pajamas. The child was treated for malnourishment and placed in foster care.
A 9-year-old girl, the couple's biological child, was also taken from the home.
There is a publication ban on the names of the accused in order to protect the identity of the children.
The boy was not born in Canada and he does not have a parent in the country. According to the Korea Times, the boy's father was trying to make his way to Canada this summer.
