Chatham-Kent Career Fair

Students and members of the public were able to learn about the variety of career opportunities they can have in Chatham-Kent.

Wednesday's career fair, put on by the Chatham-Kent Workforce Planning Board, saw 600 high school students view and speak with 62 workplaces to find out more about their potential career paths.

Project Manager Kristy Jacobs says ideally, they'd like to see even younger students thinking about their future jobs. "We would love to have Grade 7 and 8 students come in and learn at that level, because once you get into high school you have to start making those choices about your careers and your streams."

The exhibitors came from a variety of sectors, including healthcare, energy, retail, and education.
