UPDATE: Fatal Crash In Dresden Area

Chatham-Kent police say a 25-year-old Dresden woman is dead after a single-vehicle crash.

Police say the car was travelling southwest on Union Line near Prince Albert Rd. around 9pm yesterday when the driver lost control and struck a bridge railing.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while her 2-year-old daughter was taken to hospital and later released.

Next of kin has been notified and the family is asking that the woman's name not be released.

The crash is still under investigation.
