No Leads After Cyclist Struck

Chatham-Kent police say they have no substantial leads at this point as they continue to search for the vehicle that struck a cyclist.

Traffic Sergeant Ed MacLean says at last check, the 52-year-old man was still in the intensive care unit at a Windsor hospital with head injuries. The cyclist was found on the side of Park Ave. E in Chatham, near Creek Rd., shortly after 6am Thursday.

MacLean says the area where the cyclist was struck isn't well lit and to make matters worse, the cyclist wasn't wearing a helmet, was dressed in dark clothing, didn't have any reflective items, and there were no lights on the bike.

MacLean adds there was no noticeable damage to the bike.
