Grand River Ag Society helps hungry heroes

The Grand River Agricultural Society has committed $25,000 dollars to start the "Helping Hungry Heroes" campaign to provide restaurant meals to frontline workers in Centre Wellington.

In a release, President Paul Walker said they wanted to find a way to support local businesses and give back to those who are working to keep everyone safe.

The Ag Society is buying gift cards from eateries across the township and distributing them to local paramedics and long-term care home staff.

Over $10,000 worth of gift cards have already been purchased, while some businesses are offering discounts.
