The 92nd Huron County Plowing match is in the books.
It was run Thursday and Friday at the Dykstra farm in Howick Township.

The first IPM 2017 Scholarship Awards were handed out to six recipients at the Huron County Plowing Match on Friday.
The six were raised in Huron County and according to those handing out the scholarships, recognize the importance of being involved and have contributed to communities. Each recipient received a DVD of videos and pictures of the IPM, a keepsake photo book and a cheque for $2000.
The recipients were: Emily Mitchell of Walton who is attending Brock University in the Concurrent Education program. Emma Baan of Walton, who is in Business Administration at Georgian specializing in Human Resources. Maggie Burgsma of Kinburn, who is attending Dordt Univesity in Sioux Centre, Iowa major in bisiness administration with a minor in music. Sean Mitchell of Walton who is studying at the University of Guelph in Environmental Science. Delayna Smith of Brussels who is attending Carleton University in Ottawa and in Industrial Design Engineering. Laura Higgins of Belgrave who completed a Bachelor of Arts, an Honours in Political Science, and going for her Masters in Arts and Global Governance.
