Fertilizer facility in Drayton up and running

Hensall Co-op's new fertilizer blending facility in Drayton is up and running for the 2019 growing season.

The fertilizer tower is located alongside the existing grain elevator.

In addition to the fertilizer complex, the location has added liquid fertilizer storage as well as a certified crop protection chemical and seed warehouse.

The fertilizer tower has a capacity of 160 MT/hr using HIM blending technology, overhead loading capability and 2,500 MT of storage.

CEO Brad Chandler says expanding the fertilizer blending footprint to Drayton, provides the co-op an opportunity to provide services to more members. He adds the state-of-the-art blending technology ensures they are providing the proper nutrient source.

Hensall Co-op was founded in 1937 and is the 8th largest non-financial co-operative in Canada.
