Hensall Co-op Adding To Its Business

Hensall Co-op is growing.

The eighth largest non-financial co-operative in the country is buying Ball Farm Services Ltd.

It has a retail outlet in Aylmer and provides a wide range of agronomy solutions including crop products and services.

Brad Chandler is the CEO of Hensall Co-op.

He says the move strengthens value proposition for producers in and around Elgin County.

The acquisition is still subject to the normal closing conditions but Hensall Co-op has arranged a leasing arrangement in order for the Aylmer site to meet the needs of producers in time for the 2018 planting season.

Company officials aren't saying how much the deal is worth.

Hensall Co-op was founded in 1937 and has over 5,500 member-owners.

The Co-op has customers in over 40 countries.
