The Ontario Pork Congress, Canada's largest Pig Show, is getting set to host it's 44th annual event in Stratford on June 21st and 22nd. Being held at the Stratford Rotary Complex, the tradeshow portion will feature around 150 Canadian and International exhibitors, and is expected to draw over 3,000 attendees. One of the most popular events is the "Taste the Best" competition, which sees several local chefs prepare signature dishes made with local cuts of pork, which are then judged by the attendees. Closing out "Hog Wild Week" on Sunday June 25th will be the 2017 Weekend Warrior BBQ Amateur Open Competition, the only amateur, all-pork event in Ontario. ...and the marquee event, the live hog "Bacon Maker Classic", takes place on the second day and sees the next generation of pork producers showcase their skills. Action gets underway on June 21st at the Rotary Complex in Stratford.
