Farm & Food Care Gives Public Virtual Look Inside Farms

Farm & Food Care Ontario says it's proud of it's latest outreach project.

FarmFood360 will allow Canadians to directly look into farms and processing plants with a virtual visit.

Ian McKillop, Chair Farm & Food Care Canada, says while Canadians are wanting to know more about their food, they've been increasingly removed from the production of it.

He adds changing technology allows people to find information in different ways, and FarmFood360 allows them to address their questions in the most compelling way possible.

The project uses 360 cameras and virtual reality technology, giving viewers an full tour of facilities without having to leave home.

The national initiative can be seen at www.FarmFood360.ca.

The site also includes all 23 farm visits from the previous Virtual Farm Tour platform, plus three new tours from a dairy farm and two milk and cheese processing facilities.
