FFC's Food Banks Campaign A Success Again

Farm Credit Canada's Drive Away Hunger campaign was another great success this year.

FCC says with the help of its partners, volunteers and participating schools, 6.75 million meals were gathered for food banks across the country.

Michael Hoffort, FCC President and CEO, says no matter the size of the donation given, it all makes a huge difference in the lives of those who need it.

He adds he's once again overwhelmed by the generosity of all involved, both in giving and in the collecting of donations.

During the week of October 10, FCC teams drove tractors and trailers through communities across the nation to collect food and cash for food banks.

This year, Ontarians donated enough for 2.1 million meals.

Since 2004, the Drive Away Hunger campaign has provided over 33 million meals to food banks across Canada.
