Long-Time Canadian Cattle Industry Worker Graeme Hedley Retiring

A Canadian Cattlemen's Association executive calls Graeme Hedley an anchor of the beef industry.

Hedley recently retired from the presidency of the Canadian Beef Grading Agency.

He'd held that position for 16 years.

Hedley has been involved in the Canadian beef industry for nearly 50 years - including stints with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and what is now known as Beef Farmers of Ontario.

Over that time he has argued against a supply-managed industry and helped develop risk management programs for cattlemen.

Willie Van Solkema takes over from Hedley as Canadian Beef Grading Agency President.
