Restaurant Chain Admits Moving From Canadian Beef A 'Mistake'

Earls Restaurants are bringing Canadian beef back into their restaurants.

The Canadian restaurant chain came under fire late last month for switching from Canadian beef to beef from the U-S which was Certified Humane.

Company President Mo Jessa says they made a mistake moving away from Canadian beef.

Jessa says they are now going to work with local ranchers to build the chain's supply of Alberta beef that meets it's criteria.

According to Jessa - Earls is committed to sourcing as much beef as possible from Alberta and will work to build more of the supply they need.

The chain had earlier argued it had to make the move because it couldn't find enough Canadian beef to meet its criteria, including being raised antibiotic and hormone free.
