OMAFRA's New Corn Industry Program Lead A U of G Researcher

The provincial agriculture ministry has filled three major field crop staff vacancies.

The new Ontario Corn Industry Program Lead is Ben Rosser.

He comes from the University of Guelph, where he was a Research Technician with a primary focus on applied research projects investigating corn agronomic practices.

He replaces Greg Stewart, who retired earlier this year.

Meghan Moran is the new Canola and Edible Bean Specialist.

She comes from Grain Farmers of Ontario, where she was the Research Coordinator.

She replaces Brian Hall, who also retired earlier this year.

And the new provincial Cereals Specialist, replacing Peter Johnson, is Joanna Follings.

Follings has been a Research Analyst for OMAFRA and also spent some time working with the Agricultural Adaptation Council.

Rosser will be based on the University of Guelph campus while Moran and Follings will be working out of the Stratford OMAFRA office.
