Swim Medals Mean Food Bank Donations From Chicken Farmers of Canada

A strong performance at the recent FINA World Championships in swimming has resulted in 18 thousand dollars worth of donations from Chicken Farmers of Canada.

Canada won a total of 9 bronze medals.

Each medal winner gets a thousand dollars from CFC - with another thousand going to the food bank in their respective regions.

Chicken Farmers of Canada Chair Dave Janzen says his group is pleased to extend that support financially to both the swimmers and the food banks.

Ryan Cochrane won two bronze medals and Emily Ovehold won a single in individual competitions.

The other 6 bronze medals came from the members of the 400 mixed freestyle relay team.
