Breakfast On The Farm Coming To Essex County

Ontario's next Breakfast On The Farm is being held in Essex County in September.

The event provides a chance for people to visit a real, working farm.

It also provides a showcase for Ontario agriculture and gives non-farmers a chance to have their questions answered by real farmers.

The event includes interactive stops around the farm showcasing the different types of farms across the province.

Breakfast On The Farm is scheduled for September 20th at Hylander Farms, near Tecumseh.

It runs from 9 until 1 - but breakfast is only served until 11:30.

And while the event is free, visitors are asked to pre-register and also reminded that only the first 2 thousand visitors are guaranteed breakfast.

Registration is through the website www.farmfoodcare.org.

This will be the third Breakfast On The Farm event in Ontario.

There was going to be one in June on a poultry farm in Oxford County.

However, avian influenza concerns prompted organisers to postpone that one.
