Ontario, National Bee Organisations Resolve Their Issues

The Ontario Beekeepers Association appears to be back in good standing with the Canadian Honey Council.

OBA representatives had been involved in a dispute with the national organisation over a number of issues.

That dispute resulted in the Ontario organisation withholding it's annual fees and the national group responding by suspending the OBA's membership.

Those fees have now been paid.

A Canadian Honey Council official says after several meetings the issues have been resolved and the Ontario Beekeepers Association is now once again a member in good standing with the national organisation.

Although there had been reports the dispute was linked to the pesticides issue, the CHC official we talked to would not confirm that was the case.
