Federal Funding For Pulse Marketing Projects

Pulse Canada is getting federal funding for a number of projects.

The investment comes to more than 3 point 3 million dollars.

Pulse Canada CEO Gordon Bacon says each of the projects is focused on driving costs down and enhancing the value of agri-products grown, marketed and sold by farmers across Canada.

Some of the money will be used to generate new tools for the Canadian grain, oilseed and pulse industries.

Those tools will measure the sustainability performance of Canadian agriculture.

Another project will increase demand for Canadian pulses by marketing the nutritional value, health benefits and sustainability of Canadian pulses.

Some of the money will also go towards engaging key Canadian stakeholders to help eliminate trade barriers that limit growth opportunities for pulses in both established and emerging markets.
