A product developed by a Wellington County farmer is looking to break into the European market.
AgriBrink allows farm equipment operators to inflate and deflate tires to match the ideal tire pressure for the weight and speed of the equipment being used.
That increases the footprint of a heavy piece of farm equipment by about 60 per cent, keeping it from sinking into the ground.
That means less fuel consumption, less soil compaction and reduced tire wear.
The AgriBrink technology was developed by Moorefield area farmer Jake Kraayenbrink.
He won a Premier's Award for Agri-Food Innovation Excellence in 2011 for it.
