Producers Encouraged To Reach Out For Help

Producers attending a Sheep Bio-security Workshop in Monkton on Wednesday were encouraged to reach out for help in applying for funding through the Growing Forward 2 program.

Regional Program Lead Lois Sinclair explains the Ontario Soil and Crop Association provides workshops in several areas ranging from animal health, bio-security, traceability to training and assessments.  But she points out staff will be able to tell producers which workshop will benefit them the most, and help them prepare their application.

Sinclair says the guides on the web site can be helpful but they require a lot of reading while a staff member can provide more specific information.

Sinclair says there's a wide ranges of workshops available.
