Three new members have been inducted into the Canadian Agricultural Hall of Fame.
The late Walter Browarny, Charles Froebe and Doctor Lorne Hepworth were inducted in a ceremony this past weekend as part of the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair.
Browarny was nominated by the Canadian Beef Breeds Council.
His nomination referred to him as Canada's camera man of livestock photography.
Charles Froebe was nominated by the Canadian Canola Growers Association.
He was one of the first Canadian farmers to grow canola and helped create both the Prairie Canola Growers Council and the Canadian Canola Growers Association.
Doctor Lorne Hepworth was nominated by CropLife Canada.
He's described as a lifelong champoin for the advancement of science and technology.
Doctor Hepworth also spent 17 years as president and CEO of CropLife Canada.
The President of the Canadian Agricultural Hall of Fame Association - Herb McLane - says all three candidates have earned their place in the story of Canada's agriculture industry.
