Manure-spreading a aerial spraying are a couple of issues an area farmer has with the K2 Wind Ontario project.
George Alton's farm is in the Lucknow area.
He says K2 Wind has complained to him about spreading manure, claiming it's a health hazard for the company's workers.
K2 spokesman Jay Shukin says they do have concerns about manure spreading - but not when it's done in farmers fields.
Shukin argues they ran into a problem when someone spread manure in the municipal road allowance where the company's crews were supposed to be working.
He says that prevented their crews from working in that area.
Alton has also asked K2 Wind to clarify it's position on aerial spraying.
Shukin says the company has asked for 24 hours notice of any spraying where pilots have concerns about the nearby turbines.
He says they've also committed to pausing turbines within 500 feet of any land that will be sprayed.
Alton is not convinced that 500 feet distance is safe and also wants the turbine blades turned parallel with the property being sprayed to make it even safer.
Shukin says K2 Wind will continue a dialogue with anyone in the area of their development who may have questions about the project.

Shukin argues it's not what was on the fields the company was concerned about - it's what was spread in the municipal road allowance.
