Farmers, Agribiz Offered Consumer Presentation Training

A Farm & Food Care Ontario spokesperson says they're responding to a demand.

The organisation is launching it's 'Real Dirt On Farming' Speakers Bureau later this month.

Kelly Daynard says the free, one-day workshops will train farmers and agribusiness staff on how to make good presentations about agriculture and food.

She says the workshops will be based on Farm & Food Care's popular 'Real Dirt On Farming' booklet, which has a new edition coming out this month as well.

Daynard says they expect the four sessions they have scheduled for the next couple of months will be full.

More are in the works for next year.

She says they're also planning to extend the program nationally, with farm groups in B-C, Alberta, Saskatchewan and PEI already interested in taking part.
