This year's beef cattle competition at the Royal is going to include a new class for judging.

The Supreme Class will involve the Grand Champion Bull and Grand Champion Female of each breed.

The official judges from all 6 of the Canadian beef shows will decide which of those animals will be named the Supreme Champion Bull and Supreme Champion Female of the competition.

Winners get a Supreme Champion ribbon and 1 thousand dollars in prize money.

The Supreme Class competition is sponsored by MasterFeed.

More than 600 beef cattle are expected to take part in competitions for six breeds - including Limousin, Charolais, Hereford, Angus, Simmental and Shorthorn.

The 2014 Royal Agricultural Winter Fair runs November 7th to the 16th in Toronto.
