OHL to return Battle of the Border to Windsor

Windsor will play host to the top under-16 hockey teams next fall.

The Ontario Hockey League (OHL) announced on Friday that the Battle of the Border, last held in 2019, will be brought back to the WFCU Centre in November 2026.

OHL prospects from Canada and the United States are invited to participate. Many of them will likely be eligible for the 2026 OHL Priority Selection.

In the 2019 tournament, 24 teams played a slate of 36 games. The United States beat Canada 54-51 in points.

Additional details will be released by the OHL at a later date.
