Man charged in LaSalle break-and-enter

LaSalle police arrested a 33-year-old man after a break-in at a construction site early Friday.

Officers responded to a condominium under construction in the area of Ellis Street and Delmar, shortly after midnight on Friday morning. Soon after, police located the suspect, who had break-in instruments and stolen property on him, and arrested him.

The man, of no fixed address, has been charged with two counts of possession of stolen property, one count of break-and-enter, one count of possession of break-in instruments, and one count of wearing a disguise with intent.

Police added that the suspect was under release orders and awaiting a court appearance.

The charges have not been proven in court.

The suspect was being held pending a bail hearing.
