Literacy Lambton accepting book donations for Sarnia Jail

Literacy Lambton is asking for the public's help to restock the book library at the Sarnia Jail.

The organization said the goal is to bring more hope, learning, and positivity to the people inside.

They're looking for paperback books that inspire growth and well-being.

That includes educational and skill-building books like dictionaries and thesauruses, Indigenous stories and teachings, along with wellness, mindfulness, and inspiring true stories.

Literacy Lambton said the donations will help promote healing, knowledge, and hope for our community’s incarcerated population.

Books are being accepted until October 31 at the Literacy Lambton office in Room 103 of the Lochiel Kiwanis Community Centre.
