Additional charges laid in sexual teen sexual assault case

Sarnia police have laid additional charges against a 51-year-old man accused of sexually assaulting teenage girls near a north-end high school.

After sharing an image of the man last week, police said an additional victim came forward. The girl said he approached her in the area of a local high school and was trying to take his picture with her.

While taking the picture the man allegedly tried to kiss her and groped her in an inappropriate manner.

On Tuesday, Sarnia police charged Jagjit Singh with another instance of sexual assault and sexual interference.

He was remanded into custody overnight and will appear in bail court Wednesday.

Anyone else who had a similar interaction with him is asked to contact the Sarnia Police Service at (519) 344-8861 extension 6179.
