A young woman who claimed she had been attacked by a man Monday night has been charged by Sarnia police.
Police say that after an extensive investigation involving several branches of the force, the woman admitted having fabricated the entire incident.
She had reported being attacked in a commercial alleyway near Kathleen Ave. and East St. by a man who was able to partially disrobe her.
The attacker had been scared off by a passerby according to the woman.
Police say a 25-year-old woman was arrested and charged Thursday afternoon with public mischief.
