Oshawa Wins Memorial Cup

For the 5th time in their history the OHL's Oshawa Generals are the Memorial Cup Champions. Oshawa beat Kelowna 2-1 in overtime to take the final game of the tournament in Quebec City.

Anthony Cirelli had both goals in the win, including the OT winner after Oshawa started out down 1-0.

The big win means Brent Pedersen of Arthur is now a Memorial Cup champion. The 19-year-old came to the Generals after a trade with the Kitchener Rangers. He played in all 4 of Oshawa's games in Quebec.

Londesborough's Kenny Huether was also at the tournament with Oshawa, but was a healthy scratch in the game.

Jeff Gotelaer, a spotter in the NTT IndyCar Series, saw his first win with the Arrow McLaren No. 7 team on May 9.
